As an occupational therapist, Sarah provides direct intervention and parent education for children requiring OT services here at Abilities. Sarah also directs the Print Handwriting Group at our Baton Rouge location. In addition to her role as a therapist and group facilitator, Sarah also acts as the liaison between the clinic and our surrounding community. Her responsibilities as liaison include making Abilities an accessible resource to parents, family members, and other local health care providers as well as updating our social media and website with pertinent clinic news and parent information.
Sarah graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University Health Science Center, New Orleans and joined the Abilities team in June of 2013.
Prior to becoming an occupational therapist, Sarah worked with children of all types of abilities as a pediatric therapy tech here at Abilities, a respite care provider, and a student clinician at Crane Rehab. Her past experience has taught her how to effectively help children and their families overcome varying degrees of disability.
