With 17 years of dedication to helping children succeed, Amy Arledge leads our team with a contagious passion for helping every family that walks through our doors. Amy wears many different hats to create an atmosphere that allows for effective teamwork between therapists and a seamless integration of administrative staff and therapists. In addition to making sure the clinic runs smoothly, Amy serves as a mentor to our speech therapy clinical fellows and provides direct therapy to our Abilities children as her schedule allows.
Amy graduated with her M.A. degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northeast Louisiana University and joined the Abilities team in January of 1999.
Prior to joining the Abilities Team, Amy worked as a speech-language pathologist in the Richland Parish School System in Rayville, LA. After joining our team, Amy provided direct intervention to children with auditory processing impairments who were at risk for reading disorders, and enjoyed training children with Apraxia and Autism in augmentative/alternative communication strategies. Amy’s extensive experience in treating children of all abilities allows her to lead our therapy team with a level of expertise that is unmatched.
