Lindsay has over 10 years of experience working with pediatric clients with various language disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, apraxia of speech, oral motor disorders, articulation disorders, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs. Throughout those years, she has learned how speech and language difficulties can truly affect all areas of child’s life. Lindsay is most passionate about early intervention, autism spectrum disorders, apraxia of speech, oral motor, and AAC. She believes in the importance of a team approach that includes therapists, families, caretakers, and educators in therapeutic process.
Lindsay earned her Master’s degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2005 and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She joined the Abilities team in July of 2012.
Prior to joining the Abilities team, Lindsay serviced preschool and school-aged children for 7 years in Jefferson Parish and East Baton Rouge Parish public school systems. She also worked with the birth to three populations with Early Steps, Louisiana’s Early Intervention System, for 4 years during that time.
